We went to the beach with Cathy and Wyatt to Silver Strand in Coronado Island Ca for few days, then onto Doheny in Dana Point Ca for few days. We had so much fun, and the weather was wonderful, not to hot, we even went in the water, course grandma only went in with her toes....

I am completing this one shortly, it is the same series of 1-3, using lace, beads, and will use charms, buttons, and perhaps use fabric couching. Only when you are inspired at the moment is the adventure completed.

This was my second quiltlet, summer theme, one corner says surfing, another sun, another water, another beach, this represents my experiences at the beach. I love going to the beach summer or winter. The embellishments are couched fabric, beads, buttons, ribbon, face done in polymer clay and painted.

This was one of my first quiltlets, had to change doing large quilts because of my injured shoulder and arm with osteoarthritis, sold my Gammill to a friend, bought a commercial juki and went to small quilt and crazyquilting so I could manage the size better.

This was a class project for the the duodecodurn, added yarn for demension and contrast, then added jewels in each center, this one is made out of cotton fabric, stuffed with fiber fill.

These flowers were sent to me from my youngest son and daughter in law. What a great mother's day, eldest son gave me a card, daughter gave me annual pass for Disneyland. What a mother day for 2006.

This project was needle cases, mine is second from left bottom row, I used vintage looking fabric with girl faces and put crystals on the front side, turquoise beads were added, and the strawberries were wool felt with beads attached.

This is the 2nd series of my table mats, this one has her sunshine hat with beads and crystals. He face is drawn on silk with oil crayons, and she is a very serious gal. The base fabric is batik with gold streaks.

This was a fiberarts class of table mats, I took it a step further and made my girl out of it. The series has two in it. The face is painted on silk with oil crayons, beads added and her feather.

We arrived this morning from SILVER STRAND STATE BEACH IN CORONADO ISLAND, CALIF., AND DOHENY STATE BEACH IN DANA POINT, CALIF. We went with our daughter and son in law and grandson. The weather required a light jacket for myself, and long pants in the evening. The wind blew more at Silver Strand then Doheny. We barbarqued and shared the dinner meal. My daughter drives a 30' RV, we take our 2005-24' Thor Wanderer Trailer. We were gone 5 days this time. The ocean water was fairly warm, enough to go in for a length of time. Doheny has a lot of rocks in their surf so you can't go out very far without water shoes on.

We came home to somewhat sunny Corona, unloaded our trailer and washed the trailer as well. My Wanderer is certainly a 24' wonderer for me. I have just completed this blog and was trying to figure out how to use it before I left to go camping.

I am also a crazyquilter and embellishments on fabric. We will see how this continues for visitors. Tonight I will go back to work on my chainofhearts group crazyquilt hearts. I usually dye cotton and silk in the summer time so I can be outside, and summer is coming upon us.

Well, this day is ending great, we just returned from camping at SILVER STRAND SB IN CORONADO CAAND DOHENY STATE BEACH IN DANA POINT CALIF. The weather was wonderful, full overcast, yet enough warmth to enjoy the ocean.
